Was headed to Clayton from Athens and was STARVING! Had been craving bbq for days so saw this little place on the gps maps and turned off my path! So glad I did. Bbq was wonderful. The girls working were friendly, helpful and fast! Will be back again if ever out this way! Whether you live close or are driving through, def would recommend to stop by!

My parents and I decided to check this place out since we were in the mood for some BBQ. The food was great! I had the beef brisket and my Dad had the pork ribs. I loved their mac and cheese!!! The brisket was very lean and tender. Definitely worth driving a few miles off I85 to get some good southern hospitality and food at a fair price. All the employees were very friendly. Would eat here again if in the area.
Great food. I like the vinegar type sauce, but they didn't have that. Their sauce was good though. Coleslaw was zesty and fresh. Great ol time service an dining room feel. I look forward to stopping in again next time we ride that way. Very nice staff. Gravel parking lot. Plenty of parking. Has a drive thru as well.
Great service and your own pitcher of sweet tea at the table( less running back for refills). Prices are good and quantity was fair for the price.
Just had lunch at Big Oak and it was very tasty. I had the chicken plate with the sauce- make sure you get the sauce- yummy. My husband had the bbq plate - he was happy too. Loved the coleslaw- that’s kind of my thing and I loved it!
